i watched her die, now it’s killing me

my head clamors with the shuffling feet of hundreds, the faces of friends and strangers alike stare down at me. i’m in a silent hell. but no one reaches a hand to ease my suffering, no comforting gesture. they just stare. as an avid observer of the world’s suffering, i feel the irony immensely, in a not so funny way.
